ZoomSystems Launches Self-Service Razor Cartridge Defensive Merchandising Solution in Albertsons Stores in Southern California
Jun 18 14
ZoomSystems has launched a self-service razor cartridge defensive merchandising solution in Albertsons stores located in Southern California. Installed in May, RazorZone automated retail machines offer retailers a defensive merchandising solution that eliminates consumer shrink while increasing sales and enhancing the consumer experience. The machine gives customers immediate access to products that otherwise require associate assistance to complete the purchase while also providing them with information to make informed purchasing decisions. RazorZone automated retail kiosks provide retailers with tools such as real time on-shelf inventory and pin controlled access to manage internal shrink. Within the RazorZone user interface, products can be compared side by side to educate consumers and encourage trade-ups to premium products. Similar to online shopping, the interface also provides opportunities for up-sells and cross-sells leading to increased basket sizes.

ZoomSystems announced former Levi's Strauss & Co. CEO and President John Anderson has joined the company's board of directors, bringing 30-plus years of valuable international retail expertise. The addition of Anderson to the eight-member board is aptly timed, as the company seeks to continue its expansion in Europe and Asia. In addition to serving as president and CEO from 2006 to 2011, Anderson held several other leadership roles with Levi Strauss & Co. ranging from international business matters and merchandising, to marketing and operations.
