The Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate announced Maureen O. Grieco as Vice President of Development. As a member of the Institute's senior management team she will design and implement the organization's Fundraising Strategic Plan. Grieco has 10 years in managing major gift fundraising for large organizations. Most recently, Grieco was a Philanthropic Advisor for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Office of Philanthropic Partnerships, where she managed a portfolio of MIT's most generous donors and worked with senior leadership to provide strategies and assistance in developing relationships with prospects and thought leaders. Prior to joining MIT, Grieco was a Major Gifts Officer for Yale School of Medicine in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. Grieco started her career in political fundraising in Connecticut and also worked on campaigns around the country.

Edward M. Kennedy Institute For The United States Senate, Inc. announced four new board members, including two former Senate Majority Leaders, U.S. Senator Tom Daschle (D-South Dakota), and U.S. Senator Trent Lott (R-Mississippi). Senator Daschle served in the U.S. Senate from 1987 to 2005 and was elected to the position of Majority Leader in 1994. Senator Lott served in the U.S. Senate from 1989 to 2005. Senators Daschle and Lott will be joined by additional new board members: former Suffolk County District Attorney and Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Northeastern University, Ralph Martin and Stephanie Cutter, a former senior White House aide, deputy campaign manager for Obama for America, and senior advisor to Senator Kennedy.
