IHI E&C International Corporation Selects Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Materials as Corporate Standard to Fulfill Data Management and Material Management Requirements
Nov 21 13
IHI E&C International Corporation has selected Intergraph SmartPlant Foundation as its standard life cycle engineering document and data management solution. IHI E&C also has chosen Intergraph SmartPlant Materials following an evaluation of its legacy materials management tool, measured against Intergraph's materials management technology. IHI E&C will use SmartPlant Foundation and SmartPlant Materials in the execution and delivery of its projects, including front end engineering development (FEED) studies and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. SmartPlant Foundation's capabilities will support all of the company's requirements, including the management and implementation of engineering changes for enhanced safety, improved quality of data and increased productivity and efficiency. Both SmartPlant Materials and SmartPlant Foundation have been adopted as corporate standard solutions by IHI E&C. The implementation of Intergraph's solutions began in April and was completed in July.
NIAEP-ASE Selects Intergraph SmartPlant Fusion to Manage 3D Model Data
Nov 21 13
NIAEP-ASE and Intergraph Corporation have executed a facility laser scanning and 3D model data capture with SmartPlant Fusion during the construction of the Rostov NPP plant. NIAEP-ASE's project needed accurate digital as-built information about the facility which was missing from the original construction and design documentation. SmartPlant Fusion enabled NIAEP-ASE to quickly create an as-built model of the facility, by integrating photorealistic Leica laser scan data, Intergraph Smart 3D models and scanned paper documentation. The SmartPlant Fusion portal now provides a comprehensive view of all technical asset information for the nuclear power plant operations and maintenance personnel to use as a master system for subsequent mechanical and operations work. Due to the success of this project, this technology is now considered for all future projects by NIAEP-ASE. The company will now be able to build plants in a more efficient and safer manner by having all plant 3D models and engineering data integrated in a single platform, and accessed through a simple photorealistic portal. Rostov NPP plant is the large nuclear plant in the south of Russia, supplying 15% of the region's electricity. The plant is located on the Tsimlyansk reservoir in the lower stream of the Don River near Volgodonsk, Rostov Oblast and is also known as Volgodonsk Nuclear Power Plant. The plant generates 25 million kilowatt per hour daily and about 8 billion kWh in a year. The facility operates two water-cooled water-moderated energetic reactors with a total capacity of 1,000 megawatts, with two additional units under construction.
