Previously, MESA, Inc. was engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, production, processing, and sale of oil and natural gas in the United States. Its primary producing areas were the Hugoton field of southwest Kansas, the West Panhandle field of Texas, and the Gulf of Mexico offshore Texas and Louisiana.
