VF Imagewear, Inc. won a federal contract valued at up to $50 million from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Transportation Security Administration, Arlington, Va., for the acquisition of uniform items.

VF Imagewear, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and half year ended June 30, 2011. For the quarter, the company reported revenues of $244,074,000 against $211,225,000 a year ago. Profit was $40,271,000 against $26,020,000 a year ago. Revenues rose 16% in the second quarter, driven by a 32% revenue increase in Image (uniform) business, with very strong performance in Protective Apparel business. For the half year, the company reported revenues of $490,882,000 against $432,523,000 a year ago. Profit was $77,169,000 against $48,832,000 a year ago. For the year 2011, the company's revenues expected to grow at a low-teen percentage rate.
