Yat Chau USA Inc. Selects Casio America, Inc. for its V-R100 Point-Of-Sale
Mar 10 14
Yat Chau USA Inc. has selected Casio America, Inc. for its V-R100 point-of-sale, or POS, register. With the help of Casio's partner MoleQ, the Android Base V-R100 POS will offer Yat Chau user friendly, Android-based software designed for speed and efficiency. Yat Chau chose Casio's V-R100 register because of its low initial investment and durability, as it does not have a physical hard drive that can be easily damaged. MoleQ's software was an added bonus for the retailer as it offers a variety of beneficial features including a flip chart interface, an integrated scanner and scale, and a security camera. The user friendly functions became a significant factor in the decision process for a new POS system as Yat Chau needed to save time training its employees. MoleQ's software also improves operating efficiency by reducing check-out errors and it offers a central back office control allowing the management of prices, items and reporting to be done from one location. Casio's V-R100 was the first Android-based product introduced exclusively for the POS industry. The register is equipped with a 10.4" adjustable color touch screen, an attached high speed thermal printer, Ethernet port, serial ports and a built-in swivel 2X20 customer display. The V-R100's open platform enables the terminal to leverage a variety of software applications, which are designed for a number of businesses. MoleQ's software is available using Casio's open platform and can be used in a variety of retail settings. With the implementation of MoleQ, the V-R100 offers an expanded list of features that include scanning and scale interfaces, item discounting, global price changes, age verification, item picture flip charts and tare tables with descriptions.
Casio Announces Baby-G Line with Rave New Watches
Mar 6 14
Casio Baby-G is expanding its G-SHOCK complementary line, the BA111, with a new set of color ways that "light up" one's fashion repertoire for spring. This March, Baby-G BA111 will be swapping its metallic palette for a triple threat of bright neons. The fresh new color ways amplify from just a pop of color to all-out highlighter hues that nod to the ever-growing "glow" of electro-music culture and its high-adrenaline atmosphere. The most subtle iteration, the BA111-1A model, features a matte finish black resin band with a monochromatic black face that spotlights the magenta watch hands and bezel details. The two models, BA111-3A and BA111-4A2, paint a perfect picture with teal and coral bands and black faces from which the neon-accented dials and mechanics pop. The timepieces feature a layered 3D dial and gear motif hands, which radiate a strong, practical and industrial vibe. Women can deck out their day wear with the milder black/magenta version that is sophisticated and stylish or break out the brighter models for an active and on-point sports accessory to wear to a warm-weather "color run." Accessorize an all-over neon look with equally standout colorful wrist candy, or play it chic with just the watch and a swipe of kindred lip or eye color.
