Bermuda Press (Holdings) Limited announced unaudited earnings results for the first six months ended March 31, 2012. For the period, net loss was BMD 202,000 or 11 cents loss per share on revenue of BMD 13,028,000 compared to net income of BMD 11,000 or 1 cent earnings per share on revenue of BMD 14,737,000 for the corresponding period of last year. The Group has experienced a decline in revenue due to the sustained challenges in the Bermuda economy and restructuring operations. Net loss from operations was BMD 47,000 against net income from operations of BMD 297,000 for the comparable period of last year. Loss before minority interests was BMD 13,000 against income before minority interests of BMD 250,000 of prior year period.

The company's revenue for the period was BMD 14,737,000 against BMD 16,098,000 for the same period a year ago. Net income from operations was BMD 170,000 against BMD 433,000 for the same period a year ago. Net income for period was BMD 11,000 or 1 cent per against BMD 267,000 or 19 cents per share for the same period a year ago. The decrease in revenue in 2011 has exceeded the cost cutting efforts to date, resulting in a decline in net income for the period.
