AACSB International Names Timothy Mescon as Senior Vice President and Chief Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa

AACSB International announced the appointment of Timothy S. Mescon, Ph.D., as the first Senior Vice President and Chief Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Mescon, who currently serves as the president of Columbus State University, will assume his role with AACSB beginning in January 2015. As senior vice president and chief officer, Dr. Mescon will guide the association's efforts within Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and will direct a new AACSB headquarters based out of the Netherlands. In support of AACSB's mission to advance quality management education worldwide, Mescon will help to facilitate the development of a stronger mentorship program focused on providing a solid foundation for schools within emerging and transitional economies. Mescon became Columbus State University's fourth president in August 2008.
