Poczta Polska Spolka Akcyjna ul. has made a proposal to Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski Spolka Akcyjna to acquire its stake in Bank Pocztowy S.A., according to Poczta Polska's Chief Executive Officer, Jerzy Jozwiak. Poczta Polska can increase Pocztowy's capital by several hundred million on its own, Jozwiak assured.

Poczta Polska Spolka Akcyjna ul. is seeking to acquire remaining 25% stake in Bank Pocztowy S.A. from Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski Spolka Akcyjna for PLN 100 million, Rzeczpospolita reported. Poczta Polska owns 75% stake of Bank Pocztowy.

PKO BP Bid For Pocztowy Rejected Again, PP To Buyer Remaining From PKO BP

Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski Spolka Akcyjna (PKO BP) which had made a bid to acquire 75% stake in Bank Pocztowy S.A. from Poczta Polska Spolka Akcyjna ul. (PP) failed again as PP rejected it. However, now PP wants to buy PKO BP's minority stake in Pocztowy. PKO BP has offered PLN 290 million in a PLN 380 million capital increase in exchange for assuming operational control over BP. "That is why we offered to buy PKO BP's minority stake in BP," PP President Jerzy Jozkowiak said, adding that his company was yet to put a price tag on its bid.
