Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski Spolka Akcyjna (PKO BP) which had made a bid to acquire 75% stake in Bank Pocztowy S.A. from Poczta Polska Spolka Akcyjna ul. (PP) failed again as PP rejected it. However, now PP wants to buy PKO BP's minority stake in Pocztowy. PKO BP has offered PLN 290 million in a PLN 380 million capital increase in exchange for assuming operational control over BP. "That is why we offered to buy PKO BP's minority stake in BP," PP President Jerzy Jozkowiak said, adding that his company was yet to put a price tag on its bid.
