Software & Information Industry Association Appoints Michael Ni as Director

Ni will be joining the board alongside leaders from IBM, HP, Accenture, Red Hat, Oracle and Deloitte.

The Software & Information Industry Association Announces New Board of Directors to its Software Division

The Software & Information Industry Association announced the new members of its Software Division Board of Directors. Made up of twenty executives from SIIA member companies, the Board represents the voice of the full-member firms of the SIIA Software Division. In their role as board members, these executives will come together to provide the software industry with leadership, advocacy and critical market information in the months and years ahead. As representatives of the Software Division member firms, all of the newly elected and appointed executives will develop and prioritize the Division's initiatives and determine the projects, activities and events to be undertaken by SIIA. Newly elected and appointed board members are: Ron Antevy, e-Builder, Eileen Boerger, CorSource, Marc Chaing, Grant Thornton, Dianne Del Rosso, IBM, Fezyi Fatehi, Corent Technology, Jerome Labat, HP, Edy Liongsari, Accenture, Michael Ni, Avangate, David Roth, AppFirst and Michael Welch, SafeNet.

Software & Information Industry Association Names Carl Schonander as Director of International Public Policy

Software & Information Industry Association announced that Carl Schonander will serve as Director of International Public Policy. Schonander will lead SIIA's efforts to promote and protect the international public policy interests of its member companies. The Director of International Public Policy is a new position at SIIA, and reflects increasing impact of global policy debates on U.S. technology and digital content business. Schonander brings 25 years of experience in the State Department. He most recently was Senior Advisor for Europe, OECD and WIPO Intellectual Property Affairs, where, among many achievements, he played a key role in obtaining approvals for the 2013 Marrakesh Treaty.
