Glendale Heights residents now have a solution to their urgent and unexpected heath care needs. A new Physicians Immediate Care clinic opened on January 31, 2013 at 335 E. Army Trail Road, near Bloomingdale Road. The clinic's medical team treats injuries and illnesses, no appointment necessary, seven days a week (7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends). The 4,100 square-foot Glendale Heights facility features eight exam rooms for treating injuries and illnesses and performing minor surgical procedures, including two trauma rooms, a pediatric room and a hearing booth. To diagnose a fracture or broken bone, the clinic has a digital x-ray system operated by a licensed Radiologic Technologist. Physicians Immediate Care also offers on-site lab work, some prescription drugs and supplies such as crutches, slings, splints and back supports. Physicians Immediate Care accepts health insurance and offers a 30% discount for those without insurance.
