GoPro Seeks IPO

GoPro, Inc. is planning to launch an initial public offering (IPO). The offering is expected to commence after the Securities Exchange Commission completes the review process initiated by GoPro’s confidential submission of its draft registration statement. GoPro hired JPMorgan to advise for the offering, people briefed on the matter said. JPMorgan declined to comment.
GoPro Names Jack Lazar as Chief Financial Officer

GoPro announced that Jack Lazar has been appointed as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Lazar will report directly to GoPro Founder and CEO Nicholas Woodman and will have responsibility for the company's global financial operations. The appointment has been approved by GoPro's Board of Directors and is effective immediately. Mr. Lazar joins the company after serving as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and General Manager from 2011 to 2013 at Qualcomm Atheros. Previously, he held various executive positions including Senior Vice President Corporate Development, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary at publicly traded Atheros Communications from 2003 until it was acquired by Qualcomm in 2011. Prior to this, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of NetRatings, Inc. Earlier, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Apptitude, Inc. and as Controller and Principal Financial and Accounting Officer for Electronics Imaging. Mr. Lazar began his career at Price Waterhouse.
GoPro, Inc. Announces Launch of its GoPro Channel Apps

GoPro announced the upcoming launch of its GoPro Channel apps for Xbox 360 and Xbox One(R) video game and entertainment systems from Microsoft. The GoPro Channel apps will stream on-demand GoPro video content to Xbox Live Gold members worldwide and enable them to purchase GoPro cameras and accessories directly through the app, fulfilled by the Microsoft online store. This is the first time Microsoft has integrated the physical purchase of packaged goods into an Xbox platform app. In addition to streaming curated GoPro programming to Xbox Live connected televisions at home, the GoPro Channel apps will also enable Xbox Live members to purchase GoPro cameras and accessories directly through the app, a first for the Xbox platform. In the U.S., orders will be sourced and fulfilled through the Microsoft store. The GoPro Channel app is anticipated to launch on Xbox 360 this spring and on Xbox One this summer. The relationship with Microsoft augments GoPro's initiative to expand its content distribution and community reach beyond current brand platforms including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vimeo and GoPro.com. In October 2013, the company launched a GoPro Channel on Virgin America in-flight entertainment and additional content partnerships are anticipated in 2014.
