The Conifer Group, LLC (Conifer) announced several new hires in the firm's New York office. It has added Drew Burggraf as Vice President and Team Leader for the New York prime brokerage team and hired Jarod Riley as Vice President and Kyle Vedder as Client Services Representative for their Middle- and Back-Office ("MBO") services business. Conifer has also brought on Pamela Fong as a Shareholder Services professional on the Fund Administration team in New York. These new hires come at a time of robust growth for Conifer, which in the first half of 2013 signed 22 new clients, representing over 15% client growth, and announced a new office in Halifax, Nova Scotia to complement its existing San Francisco, New York, and Tortola locations. Before joining Conifer, Mr. Burggraf was an Executive Director of Prime Brokerage Services at UBS and a Senior Collateral Manager at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Riley formerly served as Assistant Controller for Protege Partners, while Mr. Vedder was an Account Operations Manager at Brown Brothers Harriman. Previously, Ms. Fong was an Investor Relations Associate for Morgan Stanley's private equity funds.

The Conifer Group, LLC announced that it is expanding its sales team by naming David Goldstein as Director and Elizabeth Whitehouse as Vice President of Business Development. They will report to Howard Eisen, Conifer's Managing Director and Head of Sales. Goldstein and Whitehouse will market Conifer's products to prospective managers in the industry, which includes hedge fund managers, traditional asset managers, private equity managers, fund of funds managers, university endowments, family offices, and pensions. They will also be responsible for covering "influencers" across the industry, such as fund auditors, attorneys, larger prime brokers and administrators, and technology firms. With over 16 years of experience in fund structures, jurisdictions, regulations, service models, and strategies, Goldstein previously worked for seven years in the fund administration unit at HSBC Securities Services, first as an Assistant Vice President of Sales and later as a Vice President overseeing client relationships and Fund Solutions. He also previously spent 9 years in senior sales and relationship management roles for fund administrator Trident Trust. Prior to her appointment, Whitehouse served as a business development and marketing specialist at fund administrator CACEIS Investor Services. Previously she also held similar roles at the global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal, and OpHedge Investment Services, a hedge fund administrator.

The Conifer Group, LLC announced it has launched its proprietary cloud-based Form PF solution. The Conifer Form PF solution is based on Conifer's ground-breaking iCon(TM) portal, the industry's premier cloud-based platform for portfolio accounting, reporting, analysis and data warehousing. Leveraging the iCon(TM) technology will allow Conifer's fund administration clients and other funds to complete, file and revise Form PF, an in-depth document which must be submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission by all registered fund managers advising at least $150 million in private fund regulatory assets.
