KazTransGas Reports Consolidated Earnings and Operating Results for the Period 2013

KazTransGas reported consolidated earnings results for the period 2013. The company reported net profit of KZT 51 billion ($327.9 million at the current rate) in 2013, 66% above target and up 80% from 2012.
The company transported 110.14 billion cubic meters of gas through trunk pipelines, 1.03% over target and up 0.9% from 2012, when it carried 109.19 bcm. The company sold 11.998 bcm, up 3.6%, and gas exports were 15% over target at 2.409 billion cubic meters, up from 1.89 bcm in 2012.
KazTransGas JSC Appoints Kuanysh Zhylkyshiev as the Acting Deputy Director General

KazTransGas JSC announced the appointment of Kuanysh Zhylkyshiev as the acting deputy director general of the company. Zhylkyshiev will oversee the gas marketing issues. He previously held senior positions at the company. He was the deputy director of gas marketing department, and director of the department for management of distribution networks. In his new position, Zhylkyshiev will replace Aybek Baizakov, who moved to work at KazRosGas LLP. Before his recent assignment Zhylkyshiev served as head of the gas transportation and marketing directorate of NC KazMunaiGas JSC.

Joint Stock Company Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company (KEGOC) will not hold a "People's IPO" this side of second quarter of 2014, Peter Howes, Managing Director of the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund JSC, which controls KEGOC, said. KEGOC is unlikely to float its shares in a "People's IPO" before it publishes its 2013 report, which will be the second quarter of the 2014, Howes said. He added that if KEGOC does not manage this at the beginning of the second quarter, the next earliest date for IPO will be the beginning of the fourth quarter next year. The next company after KEGOC due to float its shares on the domestic market is Samruk-Energy Joint Stock Company, he said. KEGOC is scheduled to hold a "people's" IPO in the second half of 2013. joint Stock Company National Company KazMunayGas(KMG) may float 25% of its shares in a global IPO and 10% in a domestic "people's IPO," Samruk-Kazyna Managing Director Peter Howes said. KMG may float at least 25% of its shares on international stock markets, most likely the London Stock Exchange and 10% on the domestic market, Howes said. Howes said he did not know what the government planned to do or what decision it might make. Preparations for the IPOs will take about two years, Howes said. KazMunayGas is wholly-owned by Samruk-Kazyna. The state will retain a controlling stake in the company. The following companies were said to be the most IPO-ready is KazTransOil JSC (KAS:KZTO) and Air Astana JSC. The second group of companies to be offered during the second wave of "People's IPOs" included KazTransGaz CJSC, KazMorTransFlot National Maritime Shipping Company JSC, and Samruk-Energo. The third group of companies, to be offered last, included JSC «Kaztemirtrans» and JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
