KazTransGaz Seeks To Acquire Gas Field In Uzbekistan
Nov 28 12
Serik Sultangaliyev, Director General of KazTransGaz CJSC said that the company is planning to acquire gas field in Uzbekistan. Sultangaliyev said, "We have plans to enter the Uzbek market, it is about buying a gas field in this country, despite the fact that our own gas reserves are estimated at trillion cubic meters. We intend to familiarize the leadership of our country with these intentions and plans. The purchase of a gas field in Uzbekistan is due to the fact that the gas produced by us will be supplied to the south of the country and will be cheaper in five - six times for us - the Kazakh company, as we can use the existing gas transporting system, which was built by our grandfathers in Soviet times."
