Remedy Informatics, Inc. Key Developments
Remedy Informatics announced it has been awarded a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) IT Schedule 70 supply contract (GS-35F-367AA, effective May 7, 2013) and is now certified to provide innovative IT solutions to government agencies at federal, state and local levels. In accordance with this contract, Remedy has placed its products and services on the federal government's electronic ordering system, GSA Advantage!(R). Among the informatics products now available to federal, state and local agencies through the IT Schedule 70 GSA contract include: Mosaic(TM) Registries are dynamic and flexible registry-based products that enable researchers to aggregate, map and harmonize data from disparate sources and then query that data with the help of powerful analytics and visualization tools. Investigate(TM), the first and only integrated research management system (IRMS) designed to enable cross-discipline, cross-institution sharing of data between clinical, laboratory and biobank researchers and data sources. By facilitating a bi-directional flow of information between key players in healthcare and life sciences research, Investigate begins to truly deliver on the promise of personalized medicine. ComprehensiveBMT, a clinical informatics product designed to help blood and marrow transplant (BMT) centers achieve clinical excellence by publishing groundbreaking research, tracking and measuring patient outcomes, gaining and maintaining accreditation and efficiently complying with mandatory reporting requirements. All of Remedy Informatics' products are built on the innovative Mosaic(TM) Platform and designed to help life sciences researchers and healthcare professionals improve their use of subject, patient, research and clinical data. With the broader and deeper view of their data that Remedy's products provide, researchers and clinicians are better able to track outcomes in order to improve the quality of patient care and develop new, more effective therapies.
IMS Health Incorporated and Remedy Informatics, Inc. announced a strategic alliance to deliver technology-enabled Real-World Evidence (RWE) solutions for life sciences organizations worldwide. The alliance brings together IMS Health's market-leading RWE capabilities and anonymous patient-level information assets with Remedy Informatics' innovative Mosaic(TM) technology solution -- providing the industry's most complete understanding of healthcare effectiveness, safety and value. The combination extends IMS Health's scalable RWE platform, which leverages proprietary technology to connect and analyze de-identified patient information from sources that include disease registries, electronic health records and claims databases. The new suite of solutions will be offered as IMS Evidence 360. Applying flexible data integration, visualization and reporting applications, IMS Evidence 360 will enable pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, payers and providers to link and analyze complex healthcare data sets. It will be a key component of IMS Health's expanded RWE platform supporting a broad range of applications, from epidemiological studies and comparative effectiveness and safety research, to commercial analytics.
Remedy Informatics, Inc. announced the availability of RemedyJoint, a comprehensive Total Joint Replacement (TJR) outcomes registry. RemedyJoint is designed to meet the stringent needs of orthopedic surgeon groups, hospital orthopedic departments and implant manufacturers conducting post-marketing trials. RemedyJoint enables researchers and clinicians to efficiently track and gather patient demographic, medical history, procedure, complication and patient reported outcome data across multiple surgeons, surgeon groups and hospitals. Once collected, the data can be analyzed using robust pattern recognition tools to further efforts to optimize patient outcomes and reduce the cost of care. With RemedyJoint orthopedic surgeons and hospitals are able to: track orthopedic outcomes & implant survivorship for quality improvement initiatives; capture patient reported outcomes measures (PROMS) which serve as a powerful, early predictor of TJR procedure success & implant survivorship; enable comparative effectiveness research for TJR to help inform surgeons and hospitals about optimal practices and reduce variation in care delivery; create custom forms & data elements to tailor application for institutional needs (e.g. metal ion concentration); support performance-based reimbursement negotiations and enable multi-site collaboration and clinical trials; deliver out-of-the-box outcomes reporting to the American Joint Replacement Registry.
