BioHealth Innovation Inc. announced the appointment of GenVec Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Cynthia L. Collins to its Board of Directors. BHI also announced that BHI Founding Board Member Jerry Parrott, formerly with Human Genome Sciences, has stepped down from his board seat but will continue to remain active on BHI's Commercial Relevance Advisory Board. Ms. Collins has served as President and Chief Executive Officer and as a director of GenVec Inc. since May 2012. Ms. Collins previously served as Group Vice President, Cellular Analysis Business, Beckman Coulter from 2007 until its sale in 2011.

Biohealth Innovation announced the appointment of Emergent BioSolutions Inc. President and CEO Daniel J. Abdun-Nabi and SR One President Jens Eckstein, Ph.D., to the BHI Board of Directors. Mr. Abdun-Nabi is the president and chief executive officer of Emergent BioSolutions, positions he has held since March 2007 and April 2012, respectively. He has also served as a board member since May 2009. Dr. Eckstein comes to SR One from TVM Capital where he was a Venture Partner, Entrepreneur-in-Residence and appointed CEO and President of SelectX Pharmaceuticals.

BioHealth Innovation appointed Douglas Liu, senior vice president of global operations at Qiagen, to its board of directors.
