Xaxis announced the launch of operations in Russia. The move brings the company's total office count to 33 locations and provides global advertisers and publishers with unparalleled capability in implementing data-driven digital marketing initiatives across display, mobile, online video and social channels. The company has appointed Nikolay Bulanov to lead the new office as managing director, Russia. Bulanov joins Xaxis from Media Set, a Moscow-based media buying firm, where he served as director of business development. In this role he managed new business and strategic partnerships while also participating in the development of new social media and data driven ad products. Previously, Bulanov was the online advertising sales director for Internet publishing group Afisha and Rambler, part of Russian holding company ProfMedia. He holds an M.A. in philology from Lomonosov Moscow State University.

Xaxis Announces the Launch of Turbine

Xaxis announced the launch of Turbine, a proprietary new data management platform (DMP) that brings unprecedented accuracy and performance to global advertisers' digital campaigns. Built around a unique streaming data engine, Turbine is the industry's first and only DMP that creates proprietary and anonymous audience segments in real-time then actions these segments across premium inventory along all digital channels. Developed with a Xaxis investment of more than 25MM USD, Turbine represents a fundamental shift in DMP architecture, taking audience segmentation from a two-step process, where data is first stored and then analyzed, to an always-on analysis of raw, anonymous audience data streams. For advertisers, these constantly updating and optimizing audience segments delivered by Turbine's Audience Creation Engine (ACE) mean that new opportunities can be identified and acted upon in minutes not hours. Equally important, with Turbine's proprietary audiences, advertisers are not limited to building strategies around the same 3(rd) party audience data sets in use by everyone else.

Xaxis Announces Launch of Xaxis Sync

Xaxis announced the launch of a real-time, multi-screen advertising technology called Xaxis Sync. Xaxis Sync is the fully programmatic product to allow advertisers to deliver coordinated ads on viewers' mobile devices simultaneously with commercials running on their televisions. The product provides a compelling method for reaching viewers as they shift their attention from the TV screen to their smartphone, tablet or laptop during commercial breaks. Xaxis Sync leverages existing video identification technology to capture and analyze metadata about television spots airing on more than 2,000 channels across the globe. When a spot runs, Xaxis is able to use this metadata as a trigger to deliver complementary ads on viewers' smartphones laptops or tablets that run within 2 seconds after the start of the TV spot. Because Xaxis has at-scale access to mobile Web, in-app and online inventory on the most heavily trafficked apps and websites, Xaxis Sync provides advertisers with an effective tool to re-engage with lost TV viewers in real-time.
