Gulf Drilling International Signs QAR 825 Million Contract with Keppel FELS

Gulf Drilling International (GDI) has signed a construction contract worth QAR 825 million with Keppel FELS, for the delivery of a new Jack-up drilling rig in the first quarter of 2016. The contract for the rig named 'HALUL' was signed by GDI and Keppel OM (Offshore) and Keppel FELS. When delivered, 'HALUL' will become the 5th KFELS B Class designed rig in GDI's fleet. 'HALUL' will have accommodation facilities for 150 persons and a cantilever outreach of 70 feet, be rated for 300 foot water depth and a drilling depth of 30,000 feet, be enabled by an off-line stand building and come equipped with all the extra features, facilities and equipment that GDI has set as a standard for its recently delivered rig "DUKHAN". Upon delivery in 2016, Halul will join the Qatar Petroleum offshore operation as the fourth jack-up rig supplied by GDI.
Gulf Drilling International Wins Several Contracts Worth QAR 5.2 Billion with Qatar Petroleum

Gulf Drilling International announced to have inked several contracts worth QAR 5.2 billion with Qatar Petroleum. These contracts include four new contracts and four contract extensions with QP for the provision of drilling rig services, each having a term of five years. The new contracts have been concluded for the provision of two new offshore drilling rigs Dukhan and Halul and two new land rigs GDI-7 and GDI-8; while contract extensions allow the continuation of services performed by four land rigs GDI-1, GDI-2, GDI-3 and GDI-4. The new contracts will allow continuing, as well as expanding, the important development work Qatar Petroleum is undertaking. Each of the contracted rigs is being customised to meet the criteria specified by Qatar Petroleum.
Gulf Drilling International Limited Wins Two Contracts Worth $110 Million to Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine

Gulf Drilling International Limited has awarded two contracts worth $110 million to Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine, or N- KOM, a joint venture shipyard between Nakilat and Singapore's Keppel Offshore & Marine, or Keppel O&M. The first contract is for the construction of a self-propelled and self-elevating liftboat, which is customised for field transit operations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region in water depths of up to 65 metres. When completed at the end of 2015, the liftboat will provide accommodation and platform support services for a customer with operations in Qatar. N-KOM has also been awarded a six-year repair and maintenance contract for GDI's existing fleet of jack-up rigs operating in the Middle East.
