Evolucia Engages DLA Piper
Jul 1 14
Evolucia Inc. announced on February 3, 2014 that it had been awarded Patent No. 8,635,049 for a 'Light unit with light output pattern synthesized from multiple light sources'. This patent allows Evolucia the proprietary rights to exclusively design, engineer and manufacture LED lights that utilize multiple mounting angles within a LED fixture to precisely 'aim' light at a specific target area. The company announced that it has retained DLA Piper to protect and defend the value and integrity of its patent portfolio. The engagement of DLA Piper is an important milestone for Evolucia as it focuses the company's primary activities to the creation and development of revenue channels from its core Aimed Optics(TM) patents. As Evolucia works with DLA Piper to both enforce and license its patent portfolio, the company will continue to work with its partner, Leader Electronics, to develop new Aimed Optics(TM) products for the roadway and area lighting markets with the 'aim' of further reducing fixture costs and increasing luminaire efficacy.
