The firm will consider investments in companies based in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States, primarily between north south from Minnesota to Florida and east west from Carolinas to Missouri and Canada. It also invests in intersection of healthcare and Information Technology sectors. For seed stage companies, the firm prefers to invest between $2 million and $40 million in companies where the revenues for the last 12-month are less than $1 million; for early stage companies, it invests between $1 million and $3 million; for expansion stage companies, investment range between $3 million and $15 million; and for late stage companies, the equity investment exceed $15 million. It targets companies with enterprise values between $5 million and $100 million, sales value between $2 million and $100 million, and EBITDA upto $10 million. River Cities Capital Funds was founded in 1994 and is based in Cincinnati, Ohio with an additional office in Raleigh, North Carolina.
