OAO SG-trans offers liquefied petroleum gas transportation services through railways. It picks-up of raw stuff and gas products from refineries and GPPs, and also from petrochemical plants in Russia and other CIS countries and supplies to both households and industries. The company also offers production storage and autorefuelling services. OAO SG-trans was formerly known as State Allied Trust "Souzgaz" and changed the name to OAO SG-trans in February, 1992. The company was founded in 1959 and is based in Moscow, Russia.

OAO SG-Trans May Buy Russian Railways' Railcar Repair Companies

OAO SG-trans (SGT) is interested in Open Joint Stock Company Russian Railways' (RZD) railcar repair companies that are slated to be privatized in the near future. "We're waiting for a government decision on this matter, we're looking at these assets," SGT President Alexei Taicher told reporters on May 23, 2014. RZD's railcar repair companies are being eyed by many players. There are plans to privatize two major assets in this sector, Railcar Repair Company-2 (VRK-2) and VRK-3. RZD Senior Vice President Valery Reshetnikov said earlier that RZD plans to sell up to 100% of shares in these companies in 2014, retaining VRK-1 "for supporting guarantees."

ISR Holding's Rahman Khalilov, who is the son of the holding's owner, Iskender Khalilov, has become a member of the board of directors at OJSC SG-Trans. Khalilov is also the current chairman of ISR Trans's management board, which is part of ISR Holding. SG-Trans's new board of directors also includes the senior vice president of AFK Sistema, Vsevolod Rozanov, and Bashneft Economics and Finance Vice President, Denis Stankevich. The three have replaced Sistema's acting vice president for asset operations, Igor Busarov; Bashneft's Vice President for Purchasing, Sales and Logistics, Ruslan Gensh, and the deputy CEO of OJSC Federal Freight Company, Yury Dyakonov.
