Investors Reportedly Eyes Stake In Sutherland Global

An investment arm of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (NYSE:GS) and TPG Capital, L.P. are among the suitors lining up for $300 million comprises one third stake in Sutherland Global Services, Inc. valued at over $1 billion, people aware of the matter said. The transaction in the making is mostly a secondary deal with the new investor purchasing shares of two existing shareholders Oak Investment Partners and Standard Chartered Private Equity Limited. Sutherland is running a share sale process with a select list of potential investors. Other investors like Technology Crossover Ventures (TCV) evaluated the transaction but may not have progressed with it, one of the sources mentioned earlier said. According to Times of India, a spokesperson for Sutherland declined to comment on market speculation and TPG Capital and Goldman Sachs offered no comments.

Uber Technologies To Reportedly Raise Funding

Uber Technologies, Inc. is hailing a group of fund managers for a large investment that could value the startup at north of $12 billion, according to people familiar with the matter. Uber is talking this week to several firms to raise near or above $500m in funding, these people said. Possible investors include BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE:BLK), General Atlantic LLC and Technology Crossover Ventures, and hedge funds, the people said.
