Sidera Networks, Inc. announced that it has upgraded MetroCast's 10Gb connections between Rochester, NH and Boston, MA as well as Ashburn, VA and Leonardtown, MD with 100Gb capacity connections. MetroCast is a top-20 multi-system operator serving over 200 communities throughout Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, South Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi. Sidera not only currently provides multiple 10Gb backbone connections to MetroCast, but also will now provide 100Gb transport connectivity to peering points in Ashburn, VA and Boston, MA. The upgrade of MetroCast's network to 100Gb provides the capacity to serve its residential and business video, Internet and voice subscribers, as well as Enterprise clients who are served through a suite of Metro Ethernet products, including Dedicated Internet Access, Point-to-Point/Point-to-Multi-Point, and Digital Business Trunking.

Sidera Networks, Inc. announced the extension of its network to the area's large data center park in Elk Grove, IL. Sidera will offer dark fiber and lit services from 100MB to 100GB on this newly constructed route between Chicago and three different data centers located in Elk Grove Village.
The Chicago-metro market serves as a major financial and content hub centrally located between the East and West coasts of the United States. Data centers in Aurora, Wood Dale, and Elk Grove serve large enterprises, financial institutions and media organizations that require high-capacity bandwidth, ultra-low latency and diverse connectivity. Sidera's newly expanded network route traverses north from Chicago to deliver dedicated fiber to three data centers located within a one-mile radius in Elk Grove. In addition, Sidera will soon connect Elk Grove, IL to Aurora, IL to complete a ring from Chicago to Elk Grove, down to Aurora and back to Chicago. Sidera's network between Chicago and Elk Grove delivers newly constructed, high-capacity connectivity to the large consolidated business park in North America and interconnects three major data center facilities including Equinix (CH3), DuPont Fabros Technology (CH1), and Savvis (CH3). Dark fiber and lit services from 100MB to 100GB are currently available.

CoreSite Realty Corporation and Sidera Networks, Inc. announced that Sidera is providing connectivity between CoreSite data centers located in critical communications markets including Chicago; Boston; New York; Washington, DC; and Reston, VA. Sidera's high capacity network will support the requirements of CoreSite's financial services, content delivery, web services, media and entertainment, and other high-bandwidth customers by providing the redundancy, diversity, and scalability required to effectively run performance-sensitive applications deployed in CoreSite's data centers. Connecting through the Sidera network gives CoreSite customers immediate access to over 40 financial exchanges and the Sidera Xtreme Ultra-Low Latency Network, which was specifically designed for applications demanding the lowest latency and higher performance. Additionally, as a result of the expansion into additional CoreSite data centers, Sidera will extend peering on CoreSite's Any2 exchange. Sidera also will be able to provide seamless access to CoreSite's Open Internet Exchange, an aggregation hub that gives expanded peering and interconnection opportunities to CoreSite customers.
