Sunrise Communications AG announced earnings results for the third quarter of 2012. For the quarter, the company increased its sales by 5.9% to CHF 1,540 million in an increasingly competitive market environment, sales for the third quarter of 2011 was CHF 1,455 million. At the same time, the operating result (EBITDA) increased by 5.1% to CHF 489 million, EBITDA for the third quarter of 2011 was CHF 466 million. In addition, the customer base continued to grow, as in the past with large share attributable to the mobile postpaid segment, which increased by 96,500 new customers (+9%) in the first nine month. The company plans to invest over CHF 200 million in the mobile phone and landline network infrastructure in 2013.
