AudioEye(R) Inc. announced that it has retained the intellectual property group at Patton Boggs LLP. The firm will help AudioEye protect, grow and maximize the adoption of its technology by U.S. Government website publishing clients seeking to comply with the requirements of the 21(st) Century Communications Act. The new compliance requirements contain groundbreaking protections to enable people with disabilities to access broadband, digital and mobile innovations; the emerging 21(st) century technologies for which the act is named. With offices in Washington DC, Dallas and Denver, Patton Boggs offers close proximity to the regional United States Patent and Trademark Offices (PTO), including the main PTO in Alexandria, Virginia, where much of this work will take place.

Patton Boggs LLP has strengthened its presence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with the opening of a permanent office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.). Patton Boggs now boasts four offices in the MENA region: in addition to the new Dubai location, the firm maintains offices in Doha, Qatar; Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. and an affiliate office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The company announced the arrival of three lawyers and a regional director of business development and marketing, who join Patton Boggs from Kilpatrick Townsend as the inaugural team in Dubai: Thomas P. Wilson, formerly a partner at Kilpatrick Townsend, Scott Hutton, formerly an associate, and Angie Hegazi, formerly head of business development and marketing (MENA) join Patton Boggs from Kilpatrick Townsend's Dubai office. Mr. Wilson joins Patton Boggs as a partner, Mr. Hutton as of counsel, and Ms. Hegazi as regional director of business development and marketing. They are joined in Dubai by Jonathan M. Taunton, another former associate, who joins Patton Boggs from Kilpatrick Townsend in Atlanta, as an associate. Mr. Wilson will head Patton Boggs Construction practice in the region.

Patton Boggs LLP has appointed John M. Nonna, a commercial litigator well known for innovative solutions to complex commercial disputes, to the position of managing partner of the firm's New York office. Mr. Nonna currently co-chairs the company's Insurance and Reinsurance Dispute Resolution practice group. As managing partner, Mr. Nonna will hold primary management oversight of the firm's New York office and provide a clear point of reference for clients to access firm services there. Mr. Nonna joined the company in April 2012 from the New York office of Dewey & LeBoeuf.
