Overwatch Systems, Ltd. Key Developments
Overwatch Systems, Ltd. announced the release of version 5.1 of its LIDAR Analyst(R) software. The premier software for managing LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data now delivers mission-critical high-resolution 3D exploitation. LIDAR Analyst's new 3D Viewer enables visualization, analysis and dissemination of 3D data. It efficiently loads and displays LIDAR data sets in excess of a billion points, allowing analysts to keep up with the rapid growth and use of LIDAR. The 3D Viewer is tightly integrated into LIDAR Analyst and handles all of the standard data formats used by geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) analysts. LIDAR Analyst users are now able to perform real-time data analysis, including radial line-of-sight, buffer zone analysis, landing zones and 3D mensuration. To facilitate dissemination of the data and analysis, the 3D Viewer includes tools to export a fully interactive scene to a 3D PDF document or information to display in Google Earth(R). In addition, LIDAR Analyst 5.1 includes an option for distributed processing that breaks data into manageable pieces to distribute across a cluster of workstations. This enhancement can reduce overall processing time by orders of magnitude, dramatically increasing analysts' efficiency. Overwatch will soon begin shipping copies of the LIDAR Analyst 5.1 upgrade to existing customers who have active maintenance plans.
Overwatch Systems, Ltd. announced the release of RemoteView(TM) Pro 3.2.2, the latest version of its imagery and geospatial analysis software with enhancements that better integrate intelligence data and improve the intelligence workflow. RemoteView Pro Version 3.2.2 is now available for the Windows(R) 7 operating system, making intelligence data more accessible. A new ImageStack(TM) toolset upgrades the software's Research & Negation (R&N) capabilities into one unified interface for reviewing multiple images simultaneously. RemoteView's GeoCatalog capability is now able to ingest Digital Point Positioning Database (DPPDB) data sets to facilitate locating image pairs, which enable users to conduct precise positioning. Large scale mosaics also are now easier than ever to create with enhancements made to RemoteView's Virtual Mosaic extension. In June 2011, Overwatch added the V-TRAC(TM) Pro extension and TerraGo(R) GeoPDF(R) production capabilities to its RemoteView Pro software. The V-TRAC Pro extension expands RemoteView's full motion video (FMV) analysis to include live stream capture and automated report generation for FMV exploitation across all phases of analysis on a laptop computer. The GeoPDF software extension facilitates convenient publishing of geo-referenced content to a PDF file, which may then be easily accessed and used by individuals with little or no geographic information systems (GIS) experience.
