Energie AG Oberoesterreich is in talks with Penta Holding Limited, PPF A.S. and Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding a.s. on the potential sale of AVE Czech Republic, the Czech news agency CTK reported citing the magazine Euro report based on sources and the firms' representatives. Energeticky a Prumyslovy Holding a.s. confirmed that it has expressed interest in acquiring AVE Czech Republic, Daniel Castvaj, marketing and communication Director of Energeticky told CIA.

Energie AG Oberoesterreich reported consolidated earnings results for fiscal 2011. For the year, the company reported revenue of EUR 2.2 billion, which was up 12.2% year on year. The operating profit was dropped by 2.6% year on year to EUR 125.6 million. The company's profit shrank by 2.2% year on year to EUR 63.2 million. All three division of the company had seen an increase of the revenue. The operating profit had been affected by one-off items and weather-related issues. Investments declined by 5.5% to EUR 169.1 million.
