PT Semen Baturaja Reports Unaudited Earnings Results for the Year 2012; Expects Earnings Guidance for the 2013; Plans to Build Cement Factory in 2013

PT Semen Baturaja reported unaudited earnings results for the year 2012. For the year, the company recorded IDR 1.1 trillion in total revenues, a 5% increase from 2011. Net profits climbed 17% to IDR 293 billion.
For the year 2013, the company expects sales volume to book a 20% rise in total revenues by the end of the year. Net profits target is set at IDR 345 billion ($35.77 million), up 17.7% from 2012.
The company will also build another cement factory in 2013 with a production capacity of 1.5 million tons. The construction will be partially funded from its upcoming initial public offering (IPO). The company’s production will get a boost from its new plant which is expected to start operating in the second half of 2013. Located in Baturaja, Ogan Komering Ulu regency, South Sumatra, the new plant will have an annual production capacity of 750,000 tons.
