Amdocs, Inc. announced new offerings and enhancements that helps service providers transition from physical networks to network cloud service environments, achieving agile and lean operations, while transforming their networks to deliver user-defined services. The new offerings and enhancements help service providers transition from today's physical networks to network cloud service environments, achieving agile and lean operations, while transforming their networks to deliver user-defined services that can be quickly and simply activated. These new offerings leverage Amdocs' strengths in both the network and IT software domains to provide deployment-ready solutions that support hybrid physical/virtual networks as service providers begin to map out their virtualization strategies in accordance with ETSI network functions virtualization (NFV) standards. Amdocs Network Cloud Service Orchestrator is an open, vendor-agnostic, catalog-driven solution that enables service providers to define and activate complex services containing virtual network functions (VNFs) from multiple vendors in a matter of days instead of months. Amdocs' patent-pending technology advances the service operational model by converging service fulfillment and assurance into a holistic, real-time process. The solution enables the continuous design, fulfillment and assurance of network services, from any VNF vendor, utilizing existing service catalog and ordering systems, over all mainstream cloud management systems and SDN (software defined network) Controllers in a hybrid physical and virtual environment. Amdocs NFV Service Partner Program is focused on pre-integrating a rich set of VNFs and NFV infrastructure elements in order to simplify the complexity of service orchestration, improve service time-to-market, and address end-to-end Service Level Agreement considerations.

MetroPCS Deploys Amdocs, Inc.'s Enterprise Payment Processing Solution

Amdocs, Inc. announced that MetroPCS has deployed the Amdocs Enterprise Payment Processing solution. The solution, which has already been deployed and achieving strong results, is part of a strategic multi-year agreement to enable MetroPCS to enhance and optimize its customers' electronic payment options, while reducing the operational costs associated with customer payments. MetroPCS is using Amdocs Enterprise Payment Processing solution, a multi-channel payment gateway service, to offer its customers electronic payment options across all channels including Interactive Voice Response (IVR), web portal, SMS or through an agent in the contact center. The solution also enables "smart tender steering" which processes payments using the most cost-effective transactional method to minimize transaction fees and maximize revenue. The private cloud-based solution is run from an Amdocs managed services data center and interfaces with multiple banks and other financial institutions, as well as contact center services.

Telefonica Argentina Selects Amdocs to Enhance Wireline BSS Operations

Amdocs Inc. has announced that Telefonica Argentina has selected Amdocs to enhance its wireline business support systems, or BSS, operations. With this transformation project, Telefonica Argentina aims to differentiate its brand experience by allowing its wireline subscribers to move seamlessly between all customer interaction channels, whether self-service or agent assisted, via the Web, call center or at the retail store. Telefonica elected to modernize and standardize its BSS operations in Argentina on Amdocs software, starting with the transformation of its wireless operations awarded to Amdocs in 2012, and is now expanding the partnership to include its wireline operations. Amdocs will deliver pre-integrated products from its CES portfolio, including sales, provisioning, billing, customer management, self-service and enterprise-wide product management. With complete project accountability Amdocs will deliver implementation, systems integration, testing and training services to support the rollout, as well as ongoing product support.
