Dubai International Airport announced traffic results until November 2013. The company’s reported that its year to date passenger numbers were up 15.3% and there is fair chance the airport will surpass the 65.4 million passengers forecast for 2013. A total of 60,384,407 passengers have travelled through Dubai International up until November compared with 52,363,589 over the same period last year. Eastern Europe and Australasia spearheaded November growth with a 56.5% and 33.4% respective increase in passengers. Subsequently, Australasia recorded the fourth large increase in total passengers with 51,151.
Dubai Airports and Gulf Air Signs Memorandum of Understanding

Dubai Airports announced that Gulf Air has signed a memorandum of understanding to become the first full-service network carrier to fly into Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central (DWC). The Bahraini flag carrier plans to operate a daily service linking DWC to its home base effective December 8, 2013, Dubai Airports and Gulf Air said in a joint statement. Gulf Air stated that it is targeting travellers who value the new airport's convenience and proximity to new Dubai. Gulf Air announced it will be operating its new A320-Extended Range (ER) aircraft on all of it its flights between Bahrain International Airport and DWC. DWC, which will open for commercial services on October 27, 2013, is serviced by one A380 capable runway, 64 remote aircraft stands and has capacity for up to 7 million passengers per year.
