The Emirates Group reported consolidated earnings results for the year ended March 31, 2013. For the quarter, the company reported operating profit of $773 million, profit before income tax of $673 million, profit of $656 million, profit attributable to Emirates' Owner of $622 million on revenue of $19,374 million against operating profit of $494 million, profit before income tax of $455 million, profit of $441 million, profit attributable to Emirates' Owner of $409 million on revenue of $16,746 million for the same period a year ago.

GoAir Reportedly In Talks To Sell Its 49% Stake

Go Airlines Pvt., Ltd. is reportedly looking for a buyer for its 49% stake. GoAir, part of the Wadia Group, has appointed JPMorgan Chase & Co. to look for a foreign strategic partner to buy up to 49% in the low-cost passenger carrier, four people close to the development said. The potential buyer include Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft (DB:LHA), Qatar Airways and The Emirates Group. "GoAir is in talks with three to four overseas airlines from Europe and the Middle East to sell up to 49% stake," an investment banker with direct knowledge of the development said. "The company is in talks with German carrier Lufthansa and Dubai-based Emirates and Qatar Airways, among others," said a second investment banker involved in the deal. "As a company policy, the airline does not comment on market speculation," GoAir's spokesperson said to Economic Times.

The Emirates Group reported group earnings results and parent sales results for the year 2013. net profit was AED 3.1 billion ($845 million), up 34% from last year. Revenue was reached AED 77.5 billion ($21.1 billion) an increase of 17% over last year's results. The company's revenue reached a record high of AED 73.1 billion ($19.9 billion) growing by 17% when compared to the 2011-2012 financial year.
