Hasbro Inc. and Rovio Entertainment announced an expanded licensing agreement for Hasbro to develop toys and physical games based on the globally popular Angry Birds brand. The new agreement makes Hasbro the premier toy licensee for Angry Birds, including the upcoming game Angry Birds Go! set to be released this year. In addition, Hasbro will continue to develop and expand their already highly successful collaboration with Angry Birds Star Wars from Rovio Entertainment and LucasFilm. The terms of the agreement give Hasbro licensing rights worldwide. New toys and games are planned for fall 2013 based on the upcoming Angry Birds Go! property and Angry Birds Star Wars. More details will be released later in the year.
Rovio Entertainment Oy and PowerA announced a multi-year North American licensing partnership to create consumer products based on Rovio's properties. The license includes the creation and distribution of mobility cases, video game accessories, carrying cases, controllers, and headphones for gaming. The license covers Rovio's most iconic brand properties such as the original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Space, and Bad Piggies.
Kaiku Finance and Rovio Entertainment launch the KAIKU(R) Angry Birds(TM) Visa Prepaid Card, bringing Rovio's famed Angry Birds characters directly to consumers' wallets via KAIKU's sleek prepaid card. Just like Angry Birds redefined mobile gaming, KAIKU is committed to redefining the prepaid debit card industry by offering products that are transparent, affordable and something consumers can feel good about using in their everyday life. The KAIKU Angry Birds Cards are available in four unique designs featuring The Red Bird, The Yellow Bird, Bomb Bird and the Bad Piggies. Additional designs are scheduled to launch throughout 2013. While the cards offer consumers a new look, they offer the same great benefits of KAIKU's original Silver and Black Visa prepaid cards, including: ability to load funds with direct deposit, from a credit card, from a bank account, or by transfer from another KAIKU Card, access to more than 50,000 in-network ATMs globally throughout the Allpoint Network and valid wherever Visa is accepted, Apps for iPhone(R), Android(TM) and Blackberry(R) smartphones included, 24/7 customer service at no additional charge and no inactivity fees or minimum balance requirements.
