Baldor Electric Company Introduces New Dodge® QD Bushed Para-Flex® Couplings
Sep 10 14
Baldor Electric Company introduced new Dodge® QD Bushed Para-Flex® Couplings. Baldor-Dodge® Para-Flex® QD (PXQD) coupling features QD flange design that complements Taper-Lock and bored-to-size style flanges. Sizes PX50 through PX200 offer torque ratings up to 82,500 lb-in., and bore capacity of PXQD flanges let end-users downsize coupling selections. QD bushing design allows installation and removal with minimal shaft damage. When used with Para-Flex element, complete Para-Flex couplings provide misalignment capabilities to prevent damage to connected equipment. The Baldor-Dodge Para-Flex QD (PXQD) product line is available in sizes PX50 through PX200, with torque ratings through 82,500 in-lbs. Para-Flex QD flanges offer greater bore capacity, allowing customers to save money by downsizing their coupling selections. Like the Taper-Lock bushing, the QD bushing allows for easy installation and removal with minimal shaft damage, reducing overall replacement costs.
Baldor Announces New Dodge HT500
Jul 21 14
Baldor Electric Company's Dodge HT500 synchronous drive system delivers high torque, low maintenance and potential energy savings with less overhung load than V-belts. HT500 belts also offer longer life in wet/oily environments than rubber made products. The companion to HT500 sprockets is the Baldor-Dodge HT500 high torque synchronous belt (8mm & 14mm metric pitch). The HT500 belt is made with polyurethane for harsh environment resistance and carbon fiber cords, providing higher torque carrying capacity than commonly known aramid fiber tensile cords made belts. A full line of stock, compact, power-dense TAPER-LOCK sprockets, fin fan QD sprockets, and Minimum Plain Bore (MPB) sprockets will also be available from stock. Operating without need for re-tensioning, Dodge HT500 Synchronous Belt Drives run slip-free and are suitable for wet and oily environments. Product line includes complete offering of synchronous sprockets with shaft attachment options, including TAPER-LOCK and fin fan QD bushings as well as minimum plain bore sprockets. As companion to sprockets, belts come in 8 and 14 mm pitch and are made of polyurethane and carbon fiber cords for high torque transmission in severe environments.
