BioFlorida Announces Partnership with Business Wire for Press Release Distribution and a Custom Life Sciences News Feed

BioFlorida announced its 2014 partnership/agreement with Business Wire that gives the organization and its membership access to a patented news content network that distributes, syndicates and measures digital press releases. The partnership also includes a custom news feed that integrates breaking news from Florida's burgeoning health science and technology industry into the BioFlorida website. As the state affiliate of the national Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), BioFlorida members can take advantage of specially tailored packages from Business Wire for press releases, multimedia communication platforms. The BioFlorida-Business Wire agreement mirrors agreements in place with more than 25 other state and regional biotechnology associations, and offers member companies unique access to Business Wire's distribution channels and content partnerships along with access to their full service Florida-based news bureau.

BioFlorida Appoints Nancy Bryan as President and CEO

Nancy Bryan has been named president and CEO of BioFlorida. Bryan has more than 25 years of commercial pharmaceutical and biotech experience. She's held senior positions with NPS Pharmaceuticals, Indevus Pharmaceuticals and Elan Pharmaceuticals, and also worked at GlaxoSmithKline and Bayer Healthcare. She's credited with helping develop, launch and commercialize blockbusters such as Zantac and Levitra. She succeeds C. Russell Allen, who left BioFlorida earlier this year. The company said it would welcome Bryan at a May 9 event at RTI Biologics in Alachua.
