Acentia Wins Contract from State of Rhode Island Department of Health

Acentia has received a five-year, $1.25 million contract from the State of Rhode Island Department of Health. The company will provide a secure cloud-based National Electronic Disease Surveillance System Base System (NBS) for the Department of Health's Division of Infectious Disease and Epidemiology (IDE). IDE serves and protects the Rhode Island public by controlling the spread of infectious diseases and uses the NBS as the primary method of disease incidence monitoring, case management, disease surveillance, analysis, and notification of diseases to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Under this new agreement, Acentia will move IDE's current RI-NBS to a secure cloud-based model. Acentia will provide infrastructure and application administration for all RI-NBS users for the life of the agreement.

Acentia Announces Board Appointments

Acentia announced it has hired Gary Stegman and Liz Renninger to support customer accounts and business development growth in the Health and Civilian markets. Stegman serves as Senior Capture Executive for Acentia’s Health sector. Prior to joining Acentia, he was the Vice President of Business Development for Planned Systems International, overseeing all business development, capture, marketing, and proposal activities in both the domestic and international markets. Renninger joins Acentia as Vice President, Business Development for the company’s Civilian and Defense sector. Prior to Acentia, she served as Corporate Vice President of Business Development at CACI where she worked closely with CACI executives in six operational business groups to position the company for new business and recompete wins.

ITSolutions Wins 5-Year Contract to Support Military Health System Enterprise Infrastructure PPSM Program

ITSolutions announced that it was awarded a 5 year, $5 million contract to deliver Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM) support for the Military Health System (MHS) by the MHS Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) Directorate. The PPSM program, which provides the basis for filtering network traffic that traverses Department of Defense (DoD) networks, is the bedrock of secure communications within the MHS enterprise. Under the contract, Acentia will provide information assurance support to the EI PPMS program to evaluate, register, and coordinate the use of PPS by Medical Information Systems across the DoD medical enterprise. This work includes interpreting DoD PPS Guidance, assessing impacts to system design, architecture, and infrastructure requirements, and providing program management of MHS automated information systems (AIS) enterprise PPS.
