Entrust Datacard Strengthens Service Capabilities in Brazil

Entrust Datacard announced the continued expansion to its service capabilities in Brazil with the acquisition of the high-volume customer service business from AME. This addition to Entrust Datacard brings significant enhancements to the organization and accelerates the company's direct service presence in the region. The customer service professionals who are joining the company from AME will be based out of the established Entrust Datacard office in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Bringing years of expertise of high-volume issuance, these seasoned experts will give Entrust Datacard the ability to directly serve the growing number of banks and service bureaus in the region that utilize the Datacard card issuance systems for high-volume card issuance. They will also provide service and support in Portuguese which is the local language in Brazil.

Entrust Datacard Launches Integrated Instant Issuance Kiosk Solution in South Asia with State Bank of India

Entrust Datacard announced that it has launched the first integrated instant issuance kiosk solution in South Asia with State Bank of India. This is also the first instant EMV chip card personalization application in Asia which follows the Reserve Bank of India's regulation. State Bank of India opened its first set of seven outlets immersed with digital capabilities in prime business districts and shopping malls in Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The sbiINTOUCH outlets appeal to India's burgeoning millennial population. The customers are attracted to the efficient, self-service nature of these outlets, in which they will manage the majority of their business on their own while SBI staff focuses on more value-added advisory transactions. From their compact size to their self-service orientation, SBI's digital outlets are designed for efficiency. Using self-service kiosks, customers can open accounts and access online banking accounts. The customers can also make use of instant debit card issuance kiosks which enable a secure and real time issuance of a fully personalized debit card.

Datacard Group Announces the Addition of the Datacard® SD160TM Card Printer to Their SD Series Product Suite

Datacard Group announced the addition of the Datacard® SD160TM card printer to their SD Series product suite which is designed to meet a wide range of issuance applications for corporate, healthcare, student, visitor and local government IDs ­ while lowering overall total cost of ownership. Rounding out the company's SD Series line, the SD160 printer joins the Datacard® SD260TM, Datacard® SD360TM and Datacard® SD460TM card printers to complete the portfolio. Customers now have the ability to choose the most appropriate desktop printing solution that meets the needs of their program and budget. The SD160 printer features a combination of technologies including: full color, monochrome and rewrite printing which reduces time and cost associated with reissuance; inline magnetic stripe encoding for physical or logical access control and machine readable authentication; and a unique ultraviolet (UV) feature, available when used with the SD160's security ribbon supply, that prints an invisible variable UV image over the card adding covert security. The SD160 printer is a cost-effective solution that can be scaled as program requirements evolve ­ which protects an organization's bottom line.
