Kenshoo and CityGrid announced a new partnership designed to help marketing providers manage and optimize ads on the CityGrid advertising network at scale within the Kenshoo Local platform. This partnership makes Kenshoo Local the first integrated local platform capable of directly managing CityGrid Places and reporting on CityGrid traffic alongside search engine marketing (SEM) campaigns. Marketers can utilize Kenshoo Local's robust automated reporting suite to create and analyze CityGrid and SEM campaigns side-by-side. The Kenshoo/CityGrid offering also provides a number of benefits for local marketers including ease of onboarding, bulk campaign management, enhanced reporting, and optimization across all SEM and local listings in a single dashboard.
CityGrid Media, LLC announced the launch of its all-new Citysearch app for iOS. The new Citysearch iOS app gives users faster access to expert advice helping them make quicker and more informed decisions about where to shop, eat, relax and other services. The new app is currently available in the Apple App Store. New features include: New Expert Content Features: With new one-tap access, users can read newly launched Guides by Citysearch, highly visual lists built by Citysearch's expert scouts and users, and Citysearch's New and Notable, marquee content about new and noteworthy businesses in top cities across the U.S. In addition, users can easily access restaurants and other businesses awarded Best of Citysearch, the annual crowd-sourced Academy Awards of local businesses. Redesigned UI: The new user interface features improved search functionality, richer business profiles, one-click city searching and a completely redesigned look. With improved photo uploading capability and easy filtering, the new Citysearch iOS app makes it easier to share favorite local businesses while giving the tools to discover the best local businesses while on the go.
IAC/InterActiveCorp announced that Jason Finger, former CEO and co-founder of SeamlessWeb, will join CityGrid Media, LLC as Chief Executive Officer in April, 2012. Mr. Finger will oversee the CityGrid advertising network and its owned and operated websites, including Citysearch, Urbanspoon, Insider Pages, and Buzz Labs. Jay Herratti, who served as Chief Executive Officer of CityGrid Media for the last five years, and in other IAC executive positions for another three, will support the transition and then pursue other interests. Mr. Finger co-founded SeamlessWeb in 1999, and was responsible for growing the company's presence to 22 cities throughout the U.S. and London. Mr. Finger has served as an entrepreneur-in-residence at Bessemer Venture Partners for the past two years, focusing on SaaS, local businesses and e-commerce.
