City Sports, Inc. announced that it has named Ted Manning as Chief Merchandising Officer. Manning joins City Sports following nearly two decades of service with outdoor retailer Eastern Mountain Sports, most recently as their Executive Vice President, where he developed strategies for retail expansion, merchandising, product development and marketing.

City Sports, Inc. announced that it will open its 22(nd) retail location in New York City's financial district this March 26, 2013. Coming on the heels of the successful re-location of their Chestnut Hill store in Boston, MA, this newest store will mark City Sports' third location in New York City. The new financial district store, located at 50 Broadway, will be City Sports' large retail location to date, showcasing nearly 11,000 sq feet of selling space. Known for its specially curated selection of athletic apparel, footwear and equipment, City Sports aims to continue to be the ultimate shopping destination for the urban athlete. This new location will mark City Sports' first NYC downtown location, as they continue to target growth in New York.

City Sports, Inc. announced that it will be adding extended sizes to their CS by City Sports brand in March of 2013, with the sizes catering to plus-sized women. Designed in-house at City Sports, this addition to their product line is a follow-up to the brand re-launch in March of 2011. The CS plus-size assortment was built off of the best selling running and training styles of the upcoming spring 2013 CS collection. The design team utilized carefully measured cuts and figure flattering designs and colors, to ensure the product complemented a plus-sized figure and to also provide top of the line quality. The CS assortment will be accompanied by offerings from premium brands, Nike and Moving Comfort, and will accommodate sizes 1X, 2X and 3X as well as sports bra sizes 40C-44DD. The new extended sizes offering will live under the same, 'Love it for Life,' lifetime guarantee that the CS by City Sports brand has pledged since its re-launch in 2011. The launch of the women's plus- sized apparel in select City Sports locations is the first of many extended size offerings that City Sports will expand within 2013. In addition, City Sports plans to offer more extended size offerings by targeting widths in footwear, additional sports bra sizes, Men's XXL and short and tall pant lengths. The extended size product offerings will be available at select City Sports locations in Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. as well as on the City Sports website.
