Facebook, Inc., Apple Inc., Twitter, Inc., Path, Yelp, Inc. faced lawsuit for using privacy-invading mobile apps. In a privacy-related lawsuit filed in the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, a group of 13 individuals has accused as many as 18 firms for distributing privacy-invading mobile apps. The lawsuit further heightens the controversy pertaining to the apps which allegedly access the users' address book on mobile handsets; and calls on the app makers to "halt and prevent these unconscionable, illegal practices" as well as seeks damages for invading privacy.
