Atari, Inc. is seeking court approval for the sale of all its assets as it works its way out of bankruptcy protection. Atari said on May 21, 2013 that it tried looking for a buyer with the help of Perella Weinberg Partners LP, but was unable to find a "stalking horse," or initial bidder, acceptable to it. Atari has set a minimum bid of $15 million for the Atari brand.

Perella Weinberg Partners LP announced that it will launch PWP Growth Equity, a new private equity strategy focused on investing in growth companies in the lower middle market. The new strategy will be led by David Ferguson and Chip Baird, who have joined the firm as Partners in its Asset Management business. They will be based in New York. Mr. Ferguson and Mr. Baird join the firm from Weston Presidio where they were both Partners. Mr. Ferguson and Mr. Baird have 40 years of experience in private equity and investing, collectively.
