OASTA Announces Updates to its Real User Monitoring Solution, mPulse

SOASTA announced updates to its Real User Monitoring (RUM) solution, mPulse. With the unique ability to collect and analyze every byte of real user data in real-time, mPulse is the only solution that allows users to measure the business impact of end user performance accurately, and perform What If analysis to determine which areas to focus on for the best ROI. The company's mPulse captures and analyzes 100% of end user performance data from native OS and Android apps to any web and mobile browsers so operations and business personnel have real-time visibility into critical metrics, such as conversion rates and transaction values, in direct relation to user performance measurements. Now, with advancements in company's big data analytics, users can accurately predict how changes in specific performance metrics per page, geography, user type, mobile app or browser will directly affect bounce and conversion rates and direct revenue. With What If analysis, teams can make data-supported business decisions. Not only can they react instantly as performance issues occur, they can adjust to avoid issues in the future. Before company, monitoring was entirely reactive, alerting teams to what already happened, not what will happen. Other real user monitoring approaches fall short of collecting all of the performance data and resort to data sampling and aggregate reporting. This is risky and inaccurate because it results in blind spots and confounding factors. The company's mPulse works by using small JavaScript tags on websites and touch metrics in mobile apps to fire beacons when end users interact with apps. This real user data up to billions of beacons per day is collected over short or long periods of time to create stunning visual reports about real-time user experiences. Business and performance metrics can be easily configured in the mPulse interface for easy tracking. Other new capabilities with the latest mPulse release include: Updated mPulse iOS Support: Define TouchMetrics and TouchTimers by simply touching the relevant elements in the app to get real-time, up to the second, data from all of real users. FlipBook: New dashboard mode allows customers to view multiple dashboards in a flipbook UI. New Dimensions: Slice and dice data in new ways, such as by browser family, OS family, device, carrier, ISP & version.

SOASTA Announces Completion of Native App Support with mPulse

SOASTA announced complete native app support with mPulse which now delivers the first and only multi-dimensional views of actual user behavior whether on mobile web, web or native mobile applications. Using the same advanced touch-tracking technology as SOASTA's TouchTest, mPulse records precise mobile user gestures and actions to monitor native Apple iOS and Google Android mobile applications. Best of all, native app monitoring is delivered instantly, without long delays waiting for app store approval or re-certification. mPulse custom dashboards instantly deliver targeted real user data. SOASTA has extended its proven RUM platform to empower mPulse with exclusive capabilities to make native app monitoring easier: TouchMetrics allow correlated and targeted reporting and alerting on real users' mobile app usage customized to what matters to individual businesses. TouchTimers enable setting measurements and thresholds on precise user gestures and actions in native and Mobile Web apps using real devices. Visually track mobile user access by mobile operating system, location and user experience. SOASTA's mPulse delivers live, real-time user experience analytics with vivid, interactive dashboards. And now, enhanced role-based, contextual alerting and scorecards are sent via email and SMS text messages to app development, ecommerce, and executive leadership teams. Each team receives only the data and analytics relevant to its specific requirements, while visual monitor configuration eliminates writing code so choosing what to monitor is quick, easy and intuitive. With mPulse, monitoring what matters is made possible via SOASTA's big data analytics. By providing a single information source that collects every byte of real user data to isolate the cause of slow pages and service outages, companies can closely track the performance of 3rd party services like ad networks, Content Delivery Networks (CDN's), social media and other components that impact user satisfaction but are outside their direct control. The enhanced alerting and mobile support now make managing the Service Level Agreements (SLA's) of these partner companies precise and conclusive with granular, complete data that can be organized and delivered in Custom SLA Views.
