OJSC Uralvagonzavod to Build Trams for Moscow with Pesa Rather Than Bombardier

OJSC Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) has replaced its partner for the production of 120 low-floor trams under a contract with the city of Moscow. UVZ will fill the contract with Pesa, rather than Bombardier. Bombardier acknowledged that it might not fill the order on time and UVZ had to quickly find a new partner. The company said the first four trams will be delivered in the first quarter of 2014 directly from Poland, and then production will be set up at Uraltransmash.
