In April 1996, Great American Management and Investment, Inc. (GAMII) merged with GAMI Merger Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Equity Holdings Limited. As a result of the merger, all shares not tendered were converted into the right to receive $50.00 per share payable in cash. Previously, GAMMI, through its 70% ownership of Falcon Building Products, Inc., was engaged in the manufacture and distribution of building products. The company also had 7% interest in IMC Global, Inc., which was engaged in the agricultural chemicals and fertilizer business.
