Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C Signs Contractual Agreement with Sempra Energy's Cameron LNG Unit to Supply 200 Megawatts of Additional Power

Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, L.L.C. signed a commercial and contractual agreement with Sempra Energy's Cameron LNG unit to supply up to 200 megawatts of additional power to the proposed Cameron LNG liquefaction project in Hackberry. The power contract between Entergy Gulf States Louisiana and Cameron LNG is for 30 years, with a 10-year initial term and automatic renewals for four successive five-year terms. Entergy plans to upgrade its electric transmission system to meet the increased demand the liquefaction facility will generate. The anticipated incremental investment in the liquefaction project is estimated to be between $6 billion and $7 billion.

Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Issues Order to Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, LLC

On October 31, 2012, Entergy Services Inc., on behalf of Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, LLC submitted for filing an executed first amended interim agreement for continuation of transmission service arrangements for industrial participant load between Sam Rayburn Municipal Power Agency and EGSL. Waiver of the 60-day prior notice requirement is granted pursuant to section 35.11 of the commission's regulations and the agreement is accepted for filing effective December 1, 2012. The filing was noticed on November 1, 2012, with comments, protests or motions to intervene due on or before November 21, 2012. No adverse comments were filed. Notices of intervention and unopposed timely filed motions to intervene are granted pursuant to rule 214 of the commission's rules of practice and procedure. Any opposed or untimely filed motion to intervene is governed by the provisions of rule 214. This action does not constitute approval of any service, rate, charge, classification, or any rule, regulation, contract, or practice affecting such rate or service provided for in the documents; nor shall such action be deemed as recognition of any claimed contractual right or obligation affecting or relating to such service or rate; and such action is without prejudice to any findings or orders which have been or may hereafter be made by the commission in any proceeding now pending or hereafter instituted by or against the company. This action is taken pursuant to the authority delegated to the Director, Division of Electric Power Regulation - Central, under 18 C.F.R. Section 375.307. This order constitutes final agency action. Requests for rehearing by the commission may be filed within 30 days of the date of issuance of this order, pursuant to 18 C.F.R. sections 385.713.

Entergy Corporation announced that Phillip R. May, Jr., 50, has been named chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Entergy Gulf States Louisiana, LLC effective February 1, 2013. May succeeds William Mohl, 53, who the company earlier announced will assume the role of president of Entergy Wholesale Commodities in February 2013. May is currently vice president of regulatory services for Entergy's utility business.
