Bell Aliant Inc. has announced the expansion of its fibre-to-the-home, or FTTH, network to 4,177 homes and businesses in Kent County, New Brunswick, Canada. Customers in all three communities can pre-register now for installations later this fall. FibreOP is now available in almost every part of New Brunswick. BCE Inc. and Bell Aliant Inc. Announce Retirement of Karen Sheriff as President and CEO, Effective Dec. 31, 2014

BCE Inc. and Bell Aliant Inc. announced that Bell Aliant President and CEO Karen Sheriff will retire from the BCE group on December 31, 2014. On September 22, BCE and Bell Aliant announced that BCE's privatization of Bell Aliant is expected to close on or about October 31. Upon close of the transaction, Bell Aliant will cease operating as a publicly traded company and be integrated into BCE's national operations.

Bell Aliant Inc. announced the availability of its fiber optic network in three Quebec communities: Alma, Saguenay including Chicoutimi and Jonquiere, and Victoriaville.
