ROAM Partners with First Data to Introduce a Secure mPOS Solution in India

ROAM announced that it has partnered with First Data, to introduce an innovative mPOS solution into the Indian market. Leveraging ROAM's mobile platform and Ingenico's global EMV expertise, First Data India has launched its own fully branded chip and PIN mPOS solution. This new mPOS offering enables merchants in India to accept payments on the go, while incorporating the unmatched flexibility, best-in-breed security, and user friendliness of ROAM's RP750x cloud-based chip and PIN mPOS card reader. ROAM's unique white label solution allows mPOS players to reduce time to market with their own custom-branded payment solutions, in order to provide merchants with a powerful set of features (device management, device application upgrades, a robust and easy to use device configuration, etc.).

First Data Launches Bin in Brazil

First Data has expanded its presence in Brazil with the launch of Bin, the company's acquiring solution developed specifically for the local market. Bin arrives in the Brazilian market with agreements signed with the primary card schemes and has already begun its operations with MasterCard for credit, debit and installment payments, anticipation of credit receivables and other services. Card acceptance with other card schemes such as Visa and Cabal, will be enabled in coming weeks, signaling the start of broader commercial operations. Separate from Bin, the bank plans to launch its own acquiring services brand in October to deliver services to more than 300,000 Sicoob merchants using the First Data electronic payment solution. The Bin solution positioning is marked by a more intimate relationship between merchants and Bin business consultants and service specialists focused on delivering a higher quality personalized client experience. Merchants will benefit from information-rich statements, an easy-to-use portal, a simplified financial reconciliation process and robust fraud monitoring. In addition to providing standard point-of-sale (POS) terminal options for capturing electronic payments, the Bin solution also features transaction capture via EFT, POSEFT and e-commerce.

First Data Partnership with LocalVox Brings Power of Instant Feedback to Small and Medium-Sized Businesses

First Data and LocalVox announced partnership which brings to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) – the ability to combine powerful analytics from First Data’s InsighticsSM solution with LocalVox’s multi-channel targeted marketing solution. LocalVox’s marketing automation platform operates across every channel SMBs use to touch their customers – email, social, search and mobile – to ensure a consistent and compelling overall customer experience that drives in-store behaviors. The LocalVox partnership is an investment made by First Data Ventures, which is investing in and partnering with innovators in a number of areas, such as payments, marketing, customer loyalty, security, mobile and solutions that support the next generation of commerce. The LocalVox solution will be available in the Clover App Market on the Clover Station, First Data’s powerful cloud-based business control and payment platform for small and mid-sized business, and will be a software-as-a-service offering, combined with Insightics.
