Swanstrom comes to Sonoma with 17-years of experience in the orthopedic medical device and health care industry. During this time, he developed extensive sales management and business acumen through building sales organizations and the successful commercialization of a wide variety of orthopedic products. Prior to joining Sonoma, Eric held sales management and executive positions at Knee Creations, Emerging Medical Group, Pegasus Biologics, Arthrocare, Opus Medical and Advanced Surgical. Eric replaces Joe Sinkovich as Vice President of Sales.

Sonoma Orthopedic Products announced the addition of three executives. Victoria Good, PhD, recently joined as Director of Clinical Affairs. She will be responsible for orchestrating clinical studies and publication efforts to demonstrate the unique advantages of its intramedullary implants. Victoria comes to the company with over 16 years of experience in orthopedics and clinical studies. Alex Winber has accepted the position of Vice President of Marketing. He will play a role in communicating the exceptional benefits that products and minimally invasive procedures offer fracture patients along with creating patient education programs for surgeon customers. Alex comes to the company from Wright Medical Technology, after 16 years of experience there, where he led the commercialization of several important and successful technologies, ranging from computer-derived surgical navigation to a micro-invasive hip replacement technique. Kyle Lappin has joined as Director of Research and Development. He will lead new product development activities for forthcoming implants and procedures, and he will also be optimizing existing product offerings. Kyle has been a highly regarded orthopedic design engineer for the past ten years who amassed over 20 patents and patent applications at Wright Medical Technology, Biomet, and DePuy. Kyle, Alex and Victoria are relocating to the new Sonoma headquarters, in the Chicago suburbs.

The VELOX procedure features an innovative, fast, and reproducible minimally invasive method of clavicle fracture repair using the Sonoma CRx device. New instruments streamline medial canal preparation and provide visual confirmation of optimal implant placement prior to fixation. The Sonoma CRx clavicle nail eliminates plate prominence, and its flexible-to-rigid WaviBody(R) technology conforms to patients' unique clavicle anatomies. The VELOX procedure instruments are designed to provide easily visualized depth markers. Together with the new Implant Insertion Guide, optimal implant placement is fast and reproducible.
