Shapoorji Pallonji Signs a Contract with Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Group to Build a New Medical Center in Dubai

Shapoorji Pallonji has signed a contract with Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Group to build a new medical center in Dubai Healthcare City. The new hospital will consist of six floors extending over 175,000 square meters. The new building will include 200 beds, an integrated centre for cardiac surgery, diagnostic clinics and a cardiac catheterization unit.

NTPC Mull Acquisitions Of Thermal Power Projects

NTPC Ltd. (BSE:532555) is planning to acquire several thermal projects. It has created a committee under the board's supervision to evaluate these opportunities. These projects include Larsen & Toubro Limited (BSE:500510)’s Rajpura project in Punjab, all the thermal power projects of Jaiprakash Associates Limited (BSE:532532), imported coal based power plant in Gujarat Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd., Pirpainti thermal project and the Lakhisarai projects in Bihar and Harduaganj and Obra projects in Uttar Pradesh. Senior NTPC executive on condition of anonymity said, “We are evaluating several power projects. We are looking at a complete takeover. Things are at a preliminary stage.” According to Mint, external spokesperson for Shapoorji Pallonji and a spokesperson for L&T said they would not comment on market speculation. Jaypee spokesperson said the same however, added that the group is interested in the power sector. NTPC executive quoted above also said that NTPC is in talks with the Uttar Pradesh state government for the same. Arup Roy Choudhury, Chairman and Managing Director of NTPC, declined to comment. However said, “He was waiting for a report from a subcommittee of the board. We will do all due diligence.”

Capri Capital Seeks Acquisitions In India

Capri Capital Partners, LLC is planning to invest in real estates in India. It intends to invest in real estates in India by forming a 80:20 Joint Venture with Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd. Capri Capital Partners is planning to launch $400 million real estate Private Equity fund dedicated to India.
