The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas has deployed workforce management solutions from Kronos Incorporated. Focused on offering youth development and healthy living programs as well as social programs, the YMCA of Dallas selected time and attendance, HR and payroll, workforce analytics, and hiring applications from Kronos for use by employees across all 23 locations. Kronos Reportedly Up For Sale

Hellman & Friedman LLC and JMI Equity are exploring the sale of Kronos Incorporated in a deal which could be valued at more than $4 billion, according to people familiar with matter. Kronos is in early-stage talks with a small group of private equity firms, including TPG Capital, L.P., Bain Capital, LLC and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. (NYSE:KKR) about a potential deal, the people said. Morgan Stanley is considered to be acting as financial advisor to the vendors on the transaction. The sources asked not to be identified because the sale process is confidential. Hellman & Friedman, Morgan Stanley, KKR, TPG and Bain declined to comment while representatives of Kronos, JMI Equity did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
Nova Scotia Health Authorities Implements Kronos to Increase Efficiency

Kronos Incorporated announced that three out of the 10 health authorities responsible for healthcare delivery in Nova Scotia -- Capital Health, Cumberland Health Authority, and IWK Health Centre -- are using its suite of workforce management solutions for increased efficiency. The decision to implement Kronos resulted from a business innovation fund sponsored by the Government of Nova Scotia, which supports initiatives that make public sector organizations more efficient. Responsible for healthcare delivery to Nova Scotia residents through a broad spectrum of services including hospitals, community health services, mental health services, and public health programs, the three district health authorities saw an opportunity to reduce overtime and increase efficiency with Kronos. The health authorities implemented the Kronos time and attendance, employee scheduling, and self service applications to reduce administrative time associated with scheduling; more effectively manage union contract compliance; and identify key staffing trends. All of these benefits will lead to better control of labour costs, creation of accurate schedules, and consistent implementation across units, leading to increased operational efficiencies. Through the implementation of Kronos, managers and employees can see real-time data and manage proactive and reactive scheduling. In addition, they can access work information from home including accrual balances and scheduling-related requests.
