Teledyne LeCroy introduced the WaveSurfer 3000 series of oscilloscopes featuring the MAUI advanced user interface. This advanced user interface, previously available only on higher-end oscilloscopes, seamlessly integrates a deep measurement toolset and multi-instrument capabilities into a cutting edge user experience centered on a large 10.1 touch screen, the large display and only touch screen in this class of oscilloscope. WaveSurfer 3000 oscilloscopes are available in bandwidths from 200 MHz to 500 MHz, with 10 Mpts/ch memory and up to 4 GS/s sample rate. Beyond traditional oscilloscope functionality the WaveSurfer 3000 has a variety of multi-instrument capabilities including waveform generation with a built in function generator, protocol analysis with serial data trigger and decode, and logic analysis with an available 16 channel mixed signal option. Combining a fast waveform update rate of 130,000 waveforms/second with History mode waveform playback and WaveScan search and find, the WaveSurfer 3000 is an outstanding tool for waveform anomaly detection. The advanced active probe interface gives tremendous flexibility for measuring high voltages, high frequencies, currents, or differential signals. The superior toolset with powerful math and measurement capabilities, sequence mode segmented memory, and LabNotebook ensure that problems can be debugged, analyzed and documented for a faster solution. MAUI Advanced User Interface: MAUI is an advanced user interface that was developed to put all the power and capabilities of the oscilloscope right at the user’s fingertips. It was designed for touch; all important oscilloscope controls, as well as positioning and zooming waveforms, moving cursors, configuring measurements and interacting with results are done with intuitive touch screen controls. MAUI is made for simplicity; basic features and advanced tools are seamlessly integrated to simplify operation. Time saving shortcuts and intuitive dialogs simplify setup, and the intelligent display resizes waveforms and measurements to simplify debug. MAUI is built to solve; all aspects of waveforms can be measured to quickly identify problems, the causes of these problems can be determined using the deepest set of debug tools and solutions can be found fast with the powerful analysis tools. Teledyne LeCroy Introduces HVD High Voltage Differential Probe Series

Teledyne LeCroy introduced the HVD High Voltage Differential probe series delivering high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) across a broad frequency range. The new HVD differential probes are safe, easy to use and ideally suited for a variety of power electronics measurements. The wide 1500Vp-p differential voltage range and large offset capability provides maximum flexibility for capturing gate drive and control signals floating on a 1000 V(dc) bus. This performance combined with 1% DC and low frequency gain accuracy means the HVD differential probes enable high precision, high voltage measurements. The HVD probes connect to the oscilloscope through the ProBus interface. The ProBus provides power to the probe so there is no need for a separate power supply or batteries. Attenuation is automatically selected based on oscilloscope gain range (V/div) setting and a probe autozero can be easily performed through the oscilloscope channel menu. Many differential probes have high CMRR at low frequencies but the CMRR quickly drops as the signal frequencies increase. The CMRR for the HVD probes is exceptional out to very high frequencies which greatly assist in the measurement of signals found in the noisy, high common-mode environments found in power electronics. The high CMRR combined with the low noise and high offset capability makes the HVD probes capable of measuring very small control signals floating on high common-mode voltages. Pricing and availability: The HVD high voltage differential probe series has two models, the HVD3102 (25 MHz, 1500Vp-p, 1000 Vrms) and the HVD3106 (120 MHz, 1500Vp-p, 1000 Vrms). The U.S. list prices are $950 and $1,350 respectively.
Teledyne LeCroy Introduces CAN Flexible Data Rate Serial Trigger and Decode Solution

Teledyne LeCroy introduced the first CAN Flexible Data (FD) Rate trigger and decode solution, adding to their existing suite of automotive test tools for CAN, LIN, FlexRay, SENT, MOST and BroadR Reach. The CAN FD trigger and decode solution enables designers using this new standard to gain unprecedented insight in to their systems, correlating physical layer signals and protocol layer data on a single display. The CAN FD trigger can isolate Frame IDs, specific data packets, remote frames and error frames. The decode uses a color coded overlay that clearly identifies different parts of the data being captured, allowing the user to quickly identify different parts of the CAN FD data such as Frame IDs, status bits, and message data. Along with having the best method of displaying decoded data, Teledyne LeCroy offers the ability to decode 4 busses simultaneously. These 4 busses can be a combination of any protocols, including CAN FD and classic CAN at the same time. Decoded data can also be seen in an interactive table. Entries in this table can be selected and automatically zoomed, preventing the need to scroll through long records. To further simplify how data is located, a search function is built in to the zoom trace to quickly locate a specific Frame ID or data message. Pricing and availability: CAN FD Trigger and Decode is available on a wide variety of Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscopes and has a U.S. list price of $2,990. Teledyne LeCroy oscilloscope users who already have CAN Trigger and Decode can upgrade their system to CAN FD Trigger and Decode.
